October 2012 News & Announcements

The 2012 SAQ Inc Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday 27th October, 2012. As we were unable to fill all committee positions, we are holding another Special General Meeting on Saturday 17th November, 2012 at 2pm. This meeting will be held at the Mi Hi Tavern, 26 Fernvale Road, Brassall, QLD.

We encourage all our members to consider nominating for a committee position. Below is a list of the 14 SAQ Committee positions. We have nominations for 8 of these positions, but we are calling for further nominations for Vice President, Secretary, Events Co-Ordinator, Horse Registrar, Risk Management/Safety Officer and Public Relations Officer. At the very least, we need to fill the position of Secretary for our Club to continue to operate.

SAQ Inc - 2012 Annual General Meeting

DATE: Saturday 27th October, 2011

TIME: 3.00pm

LOCATION: Albion Park Raceway, Function Room, Amy Street, Breakfast Creek Qld

We encourage all our members to attend the AGM, and welcome any members who wish to nominate for a position on the committee. Of course if you do not attend, your vote will not be included, so be sure to come along and make your vote count! The new committee elected will hold their nominated positions until their tenure is completed depending on Anniversary date.

In order to vote or to be eligible to nominate for a committee position, members must hold a current 2012/2013 SAQ Inc Membership. Facilities will be available if you wish to join the SAQ Inc or renew your membership on the day of the AGM. Two members per Family Membership may vote and the Member on a Single Membership may vote. You must be over the age of 18 to vote at a Annual General Meeting. Your annual membership is paid in full before the AGM begins at 3pm.

Following the AGM we will be holding our Awards Ceremony for this years recipients.
