About the SAQ

The SAQ is a non profit organisation that prides itself on the promotion of the versatility of the Standardbred horse in equestrian disciplines other than the breeds traditional role of harness racing. The association was first established in 1998, and has gone from strength to strength due to the tireless efforts of its members.

Our association is a member of the Standardbred Horse Association of Australia Inc which is the main body of the pleasure and performance horse Standardbred associations of Australia. Being a member of the SHAA allows the SAQ and its members to have access to reduced insurance premiums, uniformity in rules and procedures and allows members to compete in the National High Point Awards.
